M4 : Lesson 4.3A Part “C” of ABC Option #1

Module 4 lesson 4.3. Part c of ABC. Part c is for choice, creation, and conscious expansion with values based action. The purpose of part c is to move from our protective self to more of an elevated, confident, or relaxed emotional state. This is where we’re going to self generate dose biochemistry.
And as we do these visualizations, we’ll find the mindset of yourself that is limitless is not sick or in pain and feels inherently whole. You wanna tap into what’s called your curious observer or your true self or your connected self or simply just awareness. And imagine as if anything is possible as we do this creative imagination process. I’m providing you with 5 different visualization options, including one for those of you who find visualizing impossible. The first step of part c is called a true self proclamation, and it’s the same regardless of which visualization option you choose for part c.
Part c, step 1, true self proclamation. You’ll do this by stating out loud an I am statement followed by a few adjectives that remind you of who you would be without limitation. Who you would be if nothing had ever happened to you to cause you to be protective or shut down or limited who you would be if you never had the experience of being sick or whatever it is that you’re dealing with. It might be something like I am wild, free and creative, or I am magical, peaceful, and centered. So come up with what this might be for you This is about shifting your identity from I am sick and in pain and limited back towards your true nature in your conscious awareness.
This is about not letting your illness, your past, or trauma define who you believe you are in this moment. To get an idea of how to do this for yourself, I do have a true self guided meditate on YouTube to help you come up with your adjectives. The link is right here. It’s also the same meditation for my free 3 day resiliency training from my website. Option 1 of Part C is a past and a future visualization.
Again, there’s gonna be 5 options, so this one is the first one. You’re going to use your brain differently by remembering positive events in your past and imagining positive events in your future. Step to a past memory. Think of a time in the past when you felt the most alive, most like your truest self. The most wild and free, calm and connected, or certain and confident.
And then you’ll state this memory out loud, finding all the details you can, like what do you see, Here, feel or maybe even taste from this memory. It might sound like this. I am remembering a time when I am feeling maybe it was feeling wild and free or calm and confident. And then you’ll describe that scene in present tense. I often start by just stating the statement.
I’m remembering a time when I’m feeling, and I state the feelings that I wanna feel, and then I take a moment and look for a memory that matches that feeling. Try your best to feel the elevated emotions associated with this memory. It can be helpful to imagine your body filled with a color to represent this memory at the end. Option 1 continued step 2 b of c, your future possibility. Visualize the experience that you’re soul, urge desires, and imagine it as if anything is possible.
Again, stating it in the present tense such as I am in my future, and I am feeling and experiencing x, y, and z, describe the feelings you want to experience. Do not let your past or your current perceived limitations influence this visualization. Again, using all of your sense describe in great detail what you see here, feel, smell, and taste. Things to focus on would be how to live a life you value, how to live as your authentic true self, and what experiences would give your life the most meaning. You’re describing your why to be alive and what really matters to you This is about imagining living your values and discovering your why I wanna get my life force back is Why do you wanna get better?
If you do not show your brain and nervous system what you need your vitality for, It can be difficult to change your circumstance. You can also simply imagine a future of what’s to come later in the day or tomorrow of its too difficult to hope in the moment for an amazing future. Either way, as you visualize, do your best to feel the appreciation and gratitude as if it’s happening right now. Your brain does not know the difference between imagined and real. You can teach your subconscious to expect a new body and a new personal reality by doing this exercise.
But even more importantly, you can reconnect to who you actually are and what you actually love and reclaim your authentic true self alignment. I also suggest to think of a symbol that represents your true self and bring that into the end of the visualization. Try to really sense your own presence, who you are without any protection response running, And notice how your perspectives of your life and your body are different after shifting off your protective survival cell. And become familiar with this sense of presence that you create in your brain retraining practice. And again, flood your body with a color at the end of the visualization to help your subconscious associate this biochemical state.
And try to visualize rep to 5 minutes or more. In this section, I’m gonna share with you a personal example of part c, and I’m standing right now because I recommend that you stand if you can. This allows your body to move a little during the visualization and helps you to build tolerance for being upright and exerting energy. So here we go. Part c of option 1.
Step 1, true self proclamation. I am wild, free, and creative. And I like to express myself in some way here. And sometimes I even have music playing while I’m doing this. Step 2, Now I’m going into a memory of my past, and I am remembering a time when I was ten years old.
And I am walking to the ice cream shop, and I can feel the coins in my hand that I earned that day by picking raspberries. And I’m so proud of my myself because I have earned my own money, and this is the first time that I’ve been able to go to the ice cream shop by myself. And so I am so excited. I feel so grown up, and I am walking down the street to the ice cream shop. And I remember this day, it was sunny, it was July, and I remember walking down the sidewalk and seeing the cars drive by and feeling so grown up with my own money in my hand.
I feel empowered. I feel capable and I feel excited because I’m going to get one of my favorite treats. And I show up at the ice cream stand and I give the lady my money and I order a vanilla chocolate swirl dipped in hard chocolate. I used to love this ice cream. So I see her making my ice cream cone, and I love watching it comes out of the machine, and it comes out in that swirling motion.
And then the magic that happens is she dips it into the hot dark chocolate and pulls it up. And within a few moments, it’s cold and it’s a hard shell. And to hands me the ice cream cone and I go sit on a bench and then under a tree, and I take that first bite. And I love the feeling of the crunch of the hard shell, and the sweetness of the ice cream, and it just fills my mouth. And I feel joy and I feel a sense of accomplishment of having earned my own money and giving myself a reward.
And frankly, this is an experience of loving myself and meeting my own needs and feeling so capable. And as I finish the ice cream cone, I start to go back to my house and I remember that I’m skipping along and I’m so excited to get back to the house because I’m gonna tell my grandma how I did this all by myself, and I’m gonna tell her how good the ice cream cone was. And I can feel the exuberance in me as I’m skipping along. I can remember the streets that I had to go down, and I remember the houses that I’m I’m skipping by. But mostly, I just remember the feeling in my body right now of being happy to be alive.
Feeling free to explore my town and to meet my own needs and and resource myself with sweet things. And this memory has the color I’m gonna give it the color of red, which is like this rooted energy of capability and empowerment. And I see this red color come through the top of my head, down through my neck, And I’m feeling the feeling of that capability and excitement and meeting my own needs. Red color going down my legs and down to the feet and just feeling rooted in the earth and happy to be alive. And the feeling of coming into an age where I have more capacity to take care of myself and how good that feels.
And I just complete that memory with just feeling into the feeling of aliveness. And then I step into my future. And now I’m gonna do a future memory, so I’m still standing. And I’m going to imagine being at my favorite place in the world, and I am visualizing a time in my future where I am in Hawaii and the big island in this beautiful bay. I think it’s called Kila Kikua Bay.
I’m sure I’m not saying that name right. This is beautiful bay. There are dolphins that come every morning, oftentimes. And I am here with my family, and we are out kayaks. And this is a future visualization, let’s say, a year from now.
It’s a beautiful sunny day. And you’re just paddling along and I see my son and my daughter and my partner is with me and we all have her own kayak. Or just enjoying the warm sun, and I can feel a little bit of the splashing of the water hitting me as I’m paddling along. And we’re also in, like, deep open water. So I have a little bit of that angst of the open water, but I’m also excited to be out here because I’m hoping that we’ll get to see some of my favorite creatures on the planet.
And as we’re paddling along, sure enough in the distance my daughter spots a dolphin fin and she says, mom, they’re coming and I look over and I see them coming and we’re so excited. We also have our snorkel gear with us. So we’re going to put on our snorkel gear and get out of our kayaks and swim in the water and hope that they come near us so that we can swim near the dolphins. And so I’m putting on my snorkel gear and so is my son and daughter and partner, and we plopped down into the water. And, again, I feel a little hesitant because it’s, you know, it’s deep open water.
But the feeling of the water, it just supports me. And I just take a few moments to just relax into it and trust in this experience. And trust that a good experience is about to come as these dolphins are getting closer and closer. And so just allow the water to hold me, and I’m just feeling the texture of the water, and it’s cool, but not cold. And I’m just treading water and basking in this moment of just being with my family in this beautiful place.
Within a couple minutes, sure enough, these dolphins come up to us, and they are just swimming all around us. And you can hear their sounds, their clicking, and their wheels when you’re under the water, it’s the most magical feeling. Because you know these creatures have come purposely to interact. And so I’m feeling this deep connection with these beautiful creatures that I love so much and with my fear family. And I’m just basking in the feeling of connection for a moment.
And feeling the feeling of the water supporting me and feeling the joy that radiates from these creatures almost like there are sonars, like beams of joys that hit your body. And I see their little eyes as they swim by and they look at you like they know you Like, they’ve always known you. There’s just a knowing when you’re looked at by a dolphin. And I see the smile on my daughter’s face. She’s pretty to one right now, and she used to say, mom, look.
And I said, I know honey. It’s so fun. And it makes me feel so happy that she’s having a beautiful experience that remember her whole life. And, again, I’m just filled with gratitude right now, gratitude for being here, for being alive, for having adventure with my family. And the color of this visualization is a beautiful blue green color representing both my heart being wide open and the blue of the ocean.
And that blue green color, I imagine it just penetrates every cell of my body as I’m floating in this ocean. Right now, this blue green color just being absorbed into my body cells, into my organs and tissues, and filling my body with the feeling of joy and gratitude and heart open connection. I just breathe it in, imagining my body filled with this color. Feeling and hearing the sounds of the sonar and the clicks and my children smiling and laughing. And my partner enjoying them as well and just feeling so grateful.
I feel my body tingly right now as I’m allowing this color to just seep in through me. I feel this chemistry being created in my body now. As if it’s happening right now, my body doesn’t seem to know the difference. I feel the tingling from head to toe. With the joy of being alive.
And I end this practice by thanking myself for loving myself enough to create a reality that I love for loving myself enough. To bring healing energy into my body. And that my friends is how you would do a visualization practice. So I will be guiding you my camera back down. I’ll be guiding you through one of those in the end of this lesson.
And, again, you can create this your own way. Every time I do it, it’s a little different. But I can tell you even right now after just doing this, I feel. I’m just like buzzing. I feel that chemistry in me.
This is how real it is. Of course, I practice this for a while, so my brain is pretty good at it, but it’s amazing because you can truly take yourself into a different reality and your body can feel totally different.
