M1 : Lesson-1-6 : Summarized!

Before we move on to the next section where I’ll discuss specific conditions related to a chronic stress response. This is a great time to have a summary slide of all we have learned. We have been learning a lot of science, and I wanted to reduce it down to a simple slide to give you an overview of module 1 and the main points I was trying to make. So we’ve been talking about an ongoing chronic stress response leading to chronic illness. And we first learned about general adaptation syndrome, which has 3 stages.
And if stress is ongoing, we eventually get into the exhaustion phase. Now, we also learned that if we are unable to discharge inflammation in the body through not feeling inherently okay and having a constant sympathetic nervous system activation, this can lead to chronic stress responses in the brain, the body, and all the way down to our cells. We’ll learn that in a brain, overreactive stress response leads to limbic system impairment. We’ll learn that in the body, a brain body stress loop leads to autonomic nervous system dysregulation. And we learn that even intracellularly, that cells stuck in a survival response lead to a cell danger response and chronic illness results.
1:27Soon, you’re going to learn a tool called breaking the stress loop. It’s our first tool of regulate. And in this tool, you’re gonna learn a process of awareness, pattern interrupt, and be here now. So be sure to watch the rest of module 1, to learn that very important neuroplasticity tool. Next, we’ll move on to the section all about chronic conditions and specific conditions and how they relate to all you’ve learned so far.
